Concordis' staff has industry veterans and experts in captives, group captives, alternative risk financing, risk management and other disciplines.  Concordis' people have, as much as 18 years experience implementing alternative risk and captive solutions with and for some of the most innovative companies.   Our experienced team and our business partners have designed many types of captives and alternative risk financing structures as underwriters and consultants over the years, and have used what works and what does not to create the best structures in the business for our clients.

Concordis is led by a dynamic and driven management team that focuses on client service, employee growth and satisfaction, and creating value for all of our business partners.  Our insurance management team includes experienced professionals from relevant professional disciplines assimilated with our service culture and the determination and professionalism to deliver what our clients demand and require.  In all aspects of our work our objective is simple:  to outperform the expectations of our clients and deliver extraordinary value to their businesses.

Trent Sommerville – CEO

Mr. Sommerville became the Chairman and CEO in January 2009.   Since his appointment, he has focused his efforts on restructuring the company, securing capital funding, building relationships and positioning the company for future growth.

Mr. Sommerville is responsible for leading the firm, finding new acquisition candidates, managing M&A activity and strategic planning.   He works from the Company's headquarters in Miramar Beach, Florida.

He has over 15 years of private equity and corporate finance experience.   During this time he has worked with 300+ clients, raised over $45 million in capital funds, was the lead team member in taking 5 companies public and brokered 10 M&A transactions.

Mr. Sommerville is also the Chairman and CEO of First Capital Partners, a boutique investment banking company.   Under his leadership, First Capital has grown from a small consulting business in 1996(IGE) to a full-service investment banking firm focusing on mid-market opportunities.

Mr. Sommerville also founded Heartland, Inc., a diversified holding company, in 2004.   He was the Chairman and CEO before bringing on its current CEO in 2007.   He was instrumental in maintaining the company's focus and returning it profitability in early 2008.   He now serves as a Director.

Prior to starting IGE he worked at Anjet where he obtained NASD Series 22 and Series 63 licenses.

Jerry Gruenbaum – Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Gruenbaum is responsible for overseeing and managing the compliance issues within the Company regarding its corporate and regulatory requirements.     He operates from the Company's Westport, Connecticut office.

Mr. Gruenbaum has been admitted to practice law since 1979 and is a licensed attorney in various states including the State of Connecticut.      He is a former President and a Chairman of the Board of Directors of a multinational publicly traded company with operations in Hong Kong and the Netherlands.

Russell English – Director

Mr. English joined the board in November 2011. Since his appointment, he has assisted the other directors in strategically positioning the company for future growth and expansion.

He has over 35 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. During this period he has worked with major international groups. He has managed several insurance and reinsurance companies as well as his own Syndicate at Lloyd’s. He has traveled worldwide and been a board member of insurance companies in several countries: UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Cyprus, Barbados and the USA.

Russell English and the Concordis directors are evaluating the different business areas of the group and the senior executive position that he could hold in the future. Russell English is a British national with a PhD in engineering before joining SCOR the major French reinsurance group in 1975.

G. Lahrye Radford, CPCU President and Director

G. Lahrye Radford became the president of Concordis in January 2012 and is responsible for the organic growth of its existing insurance companies. Additionally, he will review, analyze and conduct due diligence – analysis and feasibility of future acquisitions of all targeted specialty insurance entities.

Mr. Radford has a success pattern and a proven record of achievement. He is an expert in matters of insurance accounting, underwriting, marketing, and computer processing. He used these skills to launch 5 different companies – Advance Underwriting Managers, Inc., AgiRisk Underwriters, LLC, AgiClaims, LLC, West 161, LLC, and PetCare Underwriters, LLC.

As Vice President and regional manager of a major insurance company he grew the branch office to over $50,000,000 in premium income. This was a start-up division with $0.0 sales on day one. After leaving this company he founded Advance Underwriting Managers, Inc. and as Chairman and CEO the company grew to $38,000,000.

Mr. Radford is a graduate of FSU’s school of business with a degree in marketing and minor in accounting. He competed the CPCU course of study in 1991.
